What are the production process classifications of polyester filament?

According to the spinning speed, it has conventional spinning process, medium-speed spinning process, and high-speed spinning process.
According to the raw material, it can be divided into melt polymer direct spinning and chips spinning.

According to the process, it is classified into the three-step method, two-step method, and one-step method.

·Conventional spinning, or low-speed spinning, is a three-step process of spinning winding-stretch twisting-false twisting. The spinning speed is 1000-1500m/min, the stretching twisting speed about 600-1100m/min, and the false twisting speed ranges 120-160m/min. It can produce 33-167dtex filament yarn.

·The medium-speed spinning process is a two-step process. The spinning speed ranges 1800-2500m/min. The filament structure of the semi-reoriented yarn (MOY) produced has not yet reached a stable state. It must be left to balance for at least 6-12 hours before it can be processed and used.

·The spinning speed of high-speed spinning is 3000-3600m/min, which can produce pre-oriented yarn (POY). At high winding speed, the fiber produces a certain degree of orientation and the structure is relatively stable.

It has three process

POY-DTY process
This process uses high-speed spinning and high-speed stretching deformation. It is a typical two-step process route and is currently the most used process route for producing textured yarn. The post-processing speed of POY can be max. 1200m/min. It can process max. 300D textured yarn (DTY).

POY-TY process
This process uses high-speed spinning and low-speed false twist deformation. It can spin 300D textured yarn.

POY-DY process
This process uses high-speed spinning and low-speed stretching twisting. It can spin 300D stretching yarn. The stretching ratio is 1.3-1.7 times, using a general stretching twisting machine.

·One-step spinning and stretching process

FDY fully stretched yarn is the code name for the one-step spinning and stretching process. It can use low-speed spinning (spinning speed 900-1500m/min), high-speed drawing, and winding (winding speed 3200-4200m/min). these two processes are completed on a spinning and drawing combined machine.
